Your Initial Consultation
During your first visit to our office, a complete medical, gynecological, obstetrical and surgical history is obtained. The physician or nurse practitioner will discuss any special concerns and answer your questions at this time. A complete physical exam and a pelvic ultrasound are performed and the provider will talk with you about the recommended infertility tests.
The basic tests include evaluations of your ovarian functioning, the Fallopian tubes, the uterine cavity, sperm and cervical mucus interaction, and semen analysis. The following are Level I Testing, the basic infertility evaluations.
The advanced evaluations or Level II Tests look at the reproductive system in more detail and are more specific to the particular functioning of the uterus, ovaries, or sperm production. Level II Testing – Advanced Testing include
- Ovarian reserve function such as an Antral count and Clomiphene Citrate Challenge Test
- Endometrial Biopsy with Integrin Assay
- Hysteroscopy with Sonohysterogram
- Diagnostic Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy
- Additional semen analysis including Sperm Strict Morphology, SCSA, and MYC deletion testing
